The 2010 Boating Toys For Tots Tour
The US Marines would like to invite you and every boater to come and participate in the Worlds Best boating Toys For Tots event.
The Boating Toys For Tots Tour will take place in Palatka Florida on The St Johns River on the December 4th weekend of 2010.
We would like to invite all boaters to come to this most unique event. Plans are in place for party’s meals and good times. Projected participation is over 150 boats. All you need to do is bring your friends, bring a new toy and your boat to the River for this official US Marine toy drive.

Our vision is to get all boating groups clubs organization and industry professionals to come together under one umbrella with a single purpose; to make The Boating Toys For Tots Tour a Sensational event. I Received a call from Barry of the Jacksonville powerboat club those are really a great bunch there. They have always been big supporters of the Boating Toys for Tots Tour. I want to thank you all a million times over for your encouragement and support , and having listened to your suggestions and Ideas we will Kick the festivities up a lot .
On Friday Mid day there will be a lunch run leaving the hotel dock at 11:00 Am 20 miles of curves swerves and cut backs up Dunn’s creek to Three Bananas in Crescent City for lunch
Friday evening some great food at Corky Belle’s On the river .
Saturday Captains meeting at 10:00AM to be followed by 11:30 Start of the Toy Run Exactly 11:30 Trek 20plus miles South on the River To Welakka City Dock to be received by the US Marines The Mayor and the Police Chief ,then Lunch at Welaka Lodge just 50 yard away from the dock. There is also a fuel dock next door with premium gas. On the Return trip stop at the Palatka yacht Club for a 50/50 poker draw a chance to win BIG. Later in the evening back at the host Hotel we will have dinner at Ronnie’s They have a great menu planned for us. After dinner a big party in the lounge with some real great music from a LIVE band . This band specializes in a lot of those sensational dance tunes from to 80’s and 70’s they are major FUN.
Then Sunday morning breakfast with all the friends you have met on the TFT tour. More to come stay tuned

Also for those who may not want th ride the whole TFT tour .. all are welcome to show up at the Welaka city dock with a toy or just to see the boats arrive.. but for the kids sake bring a toy

I have no earthly idea where this is. I know where Palatka is but never heard of Welakka. How friendly is it to Inboard ski boats? If you can give me some more information on it regarding where it is located actually etc I will see if any from our boating group are interested. Many of us have ski boats though so our draft depth has to be watched. Maybe a website or something?

I am on the West Coast and thought about bringing the boat over and checking out Lake Toho over the Memorial Day weekend. Can anyone give me some insight on what to expect. Most of the information I can find is on the fishing but we are more into the raft ups and just enjoying the boating experience. Any advice or warnings would be greatly appreciated. See More
