Please take a few Minutes and send in your comments. It does make adifference. We have been quoted in the past. Now is the time to getinvolved. Dear Fellow Angler, The SAFMC needs to hear from you. They are requesting public commentson proposed measures that would shut down the South Atlantic to bottomfishing for 25 35 years. GO TO http://safmc.deep-blue-sea.org and submit your comments into thepublic record. NOAA is seeking public comment on this. Unless there is a largeoutpouring of dissent from the public, this fishery will be closed. Theclosure is based on fatally flawed science and grossly inadequateeconomic impact studies. What can you do? Go to http://safmc.deep-blue-sea.org and tell the NOAA,Congress, and the Governor what you think. You can enter your commentsin one place, and they will be forwarded to all the public officials andentered as an official comment. It will take less than 5 minutes, andmay help get Congress understand we have a broken fisheries managementsystem. What isNext?A bill has been introduced in the US House to amend the Magnuson-StevensFishery Conservation and Management Act to extend the authorized timeperiod for rebuilding of certain overfished fisheries, and for otherpurposes. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-1584 A bill has been introduced to direct the Secretary of Commerce toconduct a study of the population of the South Atlantic red snapperfishery, and to limit the authority of the Secretary to promulgate anyinterim rule that prohibits fishing in the South Atlantic red snapperfishery. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-3307 Call your congressman and tell them to support HR3307 and HR1584Senator Nelson 407-872-7161Senator Martinez 407-254-2573Congressman Grayson 407-841-1757Congresswoman Kosmas 407-208-1106Congressman Posey 321-632-1776Congressman Mica 407-657-8080 You can find more information on Red Snapper and the SAMFC/NMFS/NOAA at http://www.deep-blue-sea.org/samfc/snapper.htm. Lake TOHO information request

I am on the West Coast and thought about bringing the boat over and checking out Lake Toho over the Memorial Day weekend. Can anyone give me some insight on what to expect.  Most of the information I can find is on the fishing but we are more into the raft ups and just enjoying the boating experience.  Any advice or warnings would be greatly appreciated. See More
