Back on the horse

OK so we just bought a boat nothing new ,just a 1989 sunbird cuddy cabin motor is great and I just had the outdrive rebuilt ,,Mind you we never owned a boat and didnt grow up on one either ,,so sunday was the first day i ever put it in the water (lake dora) we cruised lake dora then went thru the canal to lake eustis i got brave (finally) and opened her up ,,then I blew a belt nothing serius just a belt and of course I didnt have spare or tools not that i could fix it anyway ,,turn out that the alternator was loose so that made all the belts move fix was cheap and quick anyway while i was broken down out in the middle of the lake with a bunch of sissys (lol)no one offered to help and sea tow wanted $200 a hr so the fire dept help me ,,any ways now I AM SCARED TO GO BACK OUT ,,NEED SOME ENCOURAGEMENT ,,,what am i to do none of my friends are interested in boating and i want to get out there again ,,,does any body else need a boating buddy we can take our boats out and chill ,,,,,
